As with all our work, our Loughborough Community Center opened in response to conversations with Loughborough community members. We talked about what their gifts and passions are and then talked about tools that would help them to move forward. 

As a result, we opened a Community Center in the Meadows Apartment Complex. The owner graciously set an apartment aside so that community members have access to resources. 

Over the years so many things happened. From starting a kids program mostly by doing physical activities to now having a full afterschool program where kids do homework, play, learn, grow, and are in a safe environment. 

At the center community members can come to get emergency food, have deep conversations, learn computer skills, and find out resources that would help them to move out of poverty.
