Love Winton took place September 29th, starting at Winton LifeLine Community Center. All told, over fifty (50) community members took part to beautify the community through various service projects including graffiti abatement, senior yard cleanup, park cleanup and tree planting. It was amazing to see everyone come together and "love" our city--sharing Christ's love with our neighbors, helping to make a difference, and helping to, "Put Winton on the map for something good."
As coordinator of this event, I would like to personally thank those that took part in the day or donated to make it possible. Thanks to Pizza + Fun for helping provide lunch for volunteers. Thanks to Raleys, and Mi Rancho Meat Market for bottled water. Thanks to USP Atwater/Tree Partners for providing ten (10) trees that were planted along Winton Way. Special thanks are also due to the Winton Chamber of Commerce for a donation to offset event costs.
